About K & B Diesel - Diesel Servicing & Maintenance

Klaus, a former Kiwi and now long-term Mt Isa resident, was apprenticed as a motor mechanic when he was just 15, and has spent his entire working life repairing and performance tuning vehicles and engines. 

His training with Toyota, Peugeot, Subaru and Hyundai as a Specialist Technician, combined with a wide range of experience on mining equipment, commercial and transport vehicles as well as light diesel passenger vehicles, equipped him well when it came to taking the reigns at K & B. 

Klaus’ strong diagnostic skills have proven invaluable time and again when solving some of the more challenging performance problems thrown up by diesel engines in commercial and industrial applications.

In more recent times, Klaus has been increasingly fascinated with the types of performance gains that can be produced from diesel engines through a combination of exhaust design, control module modification and pump tuning.

In Klaus’ words, “These performance modifications, when carried out in a balanced fashion, result in a blend of improved reliability, economy and straight pulling power that makes diesel vehicles a pleasure to operate.”

Adam Rogers

Adam, a technician with a lifelong passion for good automotive machinery, joined K & B in 2008 as Master Technician in charge of diesel maintenance, but has since broadened his focus to include the tuning and performance aspects in which K & B leads the field.

A country boy born in South East Queensland, Adam in now a permanent Mt Isa resident with a young family and a love of the bush.
